Members of William P. Faist EMS, which operates ambulance services in the Town of Ramapo, spent a full day training on a variety of vehicle and heavy-equipment extrication scenarios.
The session ran from early morning through the day, giving members a chance to sharpen their skills and learn updated rescue techniques. Faist EMS Training Lieutenant Chaim Klein led members through multiple hands-on scenarios designed to prepare crews for complex emergency situations.
At the end of the day, Faist EMS members joined Tallman firefighters for a joint drill simulating an emergency involving a working bulldozer and an incapacitated driver, focused on coordinating a safe response between EMS and fire personnel during heavy machinery incidents. The drill was led by Tallman 1st Assistant Chief Dennis Murphy (20-2), with an emphasis on teamwork, communication, and safe extrication practices.
