We Mourn Our Loss — Former Chief and Past President Mel Miraglio

The Tallman Fire Department mourns the loss of Melvin Miraglio, who passed away on January 21, 2013 in Suffern, NY at the age of 66. Melvin was born in Suffern on November 22, 1946, to the late Lawrence and Emily Whitehead Miraglio. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a longtime employee of Beckerle Lumber in Spring Valley, NY.

Melvin was an ex-Chief, past President, and life member of the Tallman Fire Department, and a member of the Rockland County Chiefs Association. He was predeceased by his wife Karen in 2012. He is survived by his children Kevin, Keith (and his wife Susan), and Tara (and her husband Paul Smith), along with 7 grandchildren.
