In the early afternoon, the Tallman Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire on Viola Road. Upon arriving, there was a heavy smoke condition, with the source of the fire at the rear of the house. The fire was brought under control with the assistance of the Suffern and Mahwah Fire Departments. Also on the scene were Ramapo Valley Ambulance Corp and Ramapo PD.
