On February 10, 2012, the Monsey Fire Department requested the Tallman Fire Department to respond as a mutual aid company to a structure fire. In addition to Tallman, Spring Valley and the Hillcrest Fire Departments also responded. Firefighters from Tallman remained on the scene for approximately three hours, and acted as the FAST team in the event that any interior firefighters experienced problems.
