A falcon that became trapped high in a tree at Evergreen Cemetery in the Village of Airmont was safely rescued thanks to quick teamwork between police officers and firefighters.
Officers responded one Friday to a report of a falcon caught in a tree, its legs tangled and unable to break free. The Tallman Fire Department was called in to assist and helped safely free the bird. After it was untangled, the falcon flew away unharmed.
